Emergency food baskets with the Peoples’ Potato!

Who Can Access This Service?
The service is open to everyone, and there is no registration necessary.

Once a week, collective members of the People’s Potato pick up donations from Moisson Montréal (the island’s largest food bank provider).

What the baskets contain:

A mix of items like canned and prepared foods, bread, milk, cereal, etc.
Dietary Note: The food donated by Moisson Montréal contains meat and dairy products. The People’s Potato does not endorse the corporations which produce these foods.
Our Additions: We also purchase fresh produce, dried beans, and grains to increase both the quantity and quality of food available.
The Potato strives to organize this food assistance service in the most accessible, respectful, and efficient way possible. We are always open to suggestions regarding how to do this better!

What to Bring & What to Expect?
Bring Your Own Bags: Everyone must bring their own bags, as we are unable to provide them.
No ID Required: In our desire to remain accessible to as many people as possible—regardless of income or immigration status—we will never ask service users for any form of identification.

⚠️ Important Note: Spots are limited, so it is first-come, first-served! Although the distribution of food bags begins at the times indicated on the poster, please keep in mind that a long line typically forms beforehand.
