The FAC (aka the ‘Fuck Aramark Campaign’) launched in September 2018 because students wanted to push Concordia to stop contracting the big 3 university food service providers: Arakmark, Charwells and Sedexo, but rather implement a campus-community food system that focused on the needs of the Concordia community, especially students (Source: Chevrier, Erk 2022). While the FAC received funding from the CFC, they were never officially a part of the CFC. The FAC was responsible for deciding their campaigns, tactics and goals.
